So i just got the Acekard 2i and when my son plays it, the ds freezes all the time.... And its not at the same spot or the same game, its random all over...

I used the firmware from this site as i know that is the latest and i dont know whats up.....

Try using the akaio 1.6 rc2 firmware, I never have problems with crashing. akaio 1.7.1 is newer but my cheats dont seem to work with that so I use the 1.6 rc2 version because its stable and reliable. You can use the official loader with akaio by switching to that in the settings and is more reliable for some games. The settings are on per game basis so you can choose the one that works best with certain roms individually if you are having problems.

It could be the anti piracy measures added to the newer games.
