Can someone help to get Acekard 2 cheating support to work. I follow this forum guide but I don't know what is missing I get error message "No Cheats found in DB". Here how I did:
1: I have .XML or .dat file in the "cheats" folder.
2: I open the cheat window with the DS game.
3: I click "DB Select" and cycle to the database.
4. I hit "Rebuild" to create "cc" file.
When I click on Rebuild to create cc file, I get the message said "No Cheats found in DB". I don' know what I missing or did wrong. when open cheat window on my DS to select "DB select" all cheat code list are there for me to activate and de-activate the code. Can any body help how to get this to work please. With any your help would be thanks and appreciated.

download the newest version of the r4 cheat code editor and open your usrcheat.dat or whatever file your using and make sure all your codes are correct. You may want to try making individual cheat db files for your games, that is what I do. Switch to the latest AKAIO firmware too if your not already using it.

I am using AKAIO 1.6 RC1. I did try both 1.6 rc1 and rc2. Both still didn't work. Can you link me a website that I can download the newest version of the r4 cheat code editor.

Have you downloaded AKAIO 1.6 RC2 from filetrip? It looks like the cheat folder has what you need. Maybe you just don't know how to get it working. I don't think you need anything that says R4 on it. I only ever used cheats on my CycloDS, not much into cheats, but I'll see if it works on mine.

AKAIO 1.6 RC2 - http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=10063

Tap start , system options , tap the > at the top until you get to default patch options screen and make sure "cheat code usage" is enabled and try again the other option you can make sure is that "select cheat database" is set to usrcheat.dat and then go back and set the cheats for each game and try it again :)

You should be using 1.6 RC2 because that is the newest one. Here is the R4 CCE I use

http://ifile.it/ven4dai

Just start the editor and click add game and enter in your codes and the game ID of your rom, if you dont know what the game id is just click on the box with 3 ... periods to the left of the Dup? box and a window will open up for you to select the rom on your hard drive (or sd card through a usb reader device) and fill it in automatically. Check the box that says game enable and check the box in the cheat entry window that says cheat enable. After your done entering your codes and everything is the way you want it, click file, save as and choose the r4 option (I think thats the default anyway though) save it with the name of your rom or whatever you want but you cant have spaces in the file name. That should work perfectly, it works for my Acekard 2i.

OK, I got the cheats working. This is what I did.

I have this installed - AKAIO 1.7

  • From AK2 / AK2i dashboard, press the Start button, then select System Options.
  • By pressing the L or R buttons, navigate to the Default Patch Options page.
  • Set the Cheat code usage to Enabled, don't press A, yet.
  • Scroll down to Select Cheat Database and make a selection (mine says USRCHEAT.DAT), don't press A yet.
  • Then navigate to the Interface Settings page (by using the L or R buttons).
  • Set Cheat Scrolling to Enabled, now press A, then press A again.
  • Now highlight the game that you want to set cheats, and press the "Y" button.
  • Select the Cheats tab.
  • Select the cheats you want to apply (you cheater), press the "SELECT" button.
  • Now play your game. B)

You're better of taking the temp usrcheat.dat, because the official one hasn't been updated since december 2009, while the temp one is updated less then 3 weeks ago.Posted Image

The three main, simple rules:
1. Don't ask for roms or say you did download one.
2. Advising on where to buy is ok, but never spam
3. Never post links, except to downloads or news sources
If you don't follow these rules, enjoy your ban
