Hi Hackers..
Thought i was done wth all this stuff yrs ago,,,,but being ive got 2 kids now it seems like i got to get back in the mix of all the new tech stuff with games ect..
anyways the mrs bought 2 nintendo dsi today for the rug rats and im looking to buy a pre loaded card as i got one for the ds lite several yrs ago(great) but the girl left everything on the plane the console the cards everything..well pissed off..
so now im back looking for something more or less the same.....pre loaded for the dsi...
any advise ill be thankful....just pm me if need be...
thanks again guys/dolls ill have a look around the forum to see what is what ect...

Hi, welcome to DSiHacks.
You cannot buy a proloaded card, do you mean microSD card? When you buy a flashcart then you must install the firmware and roms yourself, you can find firmware updates here at DSiHacks, do not ask for roms here.
Check the firmware of your DSi, if it's below 1.4.1 then do not update it until you get your flashcart. Some flashcarts needs to be updated first. If you update the DSi first then it may not recognize the flashcart. After you get your flashcart(s) then come back here to find out what to do, since all flashcarts are not alike.
Flashcarts like the SuperCard DStwo and the M3i Zero can be updated no matter what firmware your DSi is at.
Flashcarts like the AK2i and R4 series cannot be updated in a DSi if it is at 1.4.1 firmware, you will need a DS lite to update the flashcart.
Perhaps if you tell us what firmware your DSi is at may help, if you do not have access to a DSi lite.
