The left shoulder button on my DS lite has become unresponsive, If I press it multiple times I can get it to work, but I need to fix it. Goldneye was tough to play without the use of the scope. I was just wondering if anybody has any pointers for me. I ordered some triwing screwdriver bits from a catalog at work, McMaster Carr catalog, the triwing bits are only $2.20 each. Hoping I can fix it without having to purchase anything additional.

The contacts inside could just be dirty. Take your lips and form a perfect seal around the L button and then blow a few times. It blows the dust out from inside where you can’t normally reach. It’s kind of like the theory behind blowing in old school NES games.

Blowing in where the button made it work for a little while, so maybe when I get my triwing I will just clean where the buttons are. Thanks for the tip, I never knew that about blowing in there.
